Frequently asked questions

Is Finding Your Bridge a treatment center?

No. Finding Your Bridge is a sober living home, not a clinical treatment program. We do not provide detox, therapy, or medical care. Residents are expected to have completed treatment elsewhere and to maintain any outside care they need.

Who can apply?

Adults (18+) who have completed a treatment program for alcohol addiction and are committed to total abstinence from alcohol and non-prescribed drugs.

How long can I stay?

There is no time limit. Residents stay as long as they are following the rules and paying their share. Many stay a year or more.

Do you accept insurance?

No. Residents pay an equal share of the house's actual expenses directly. There are no clinical fees because there is no clinical service.

What if I relapse?

Any use of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs, on or off the property, results in being asked to leave the house the same day. The rule is what keeps the house safe for everyone.

Can I bring prescribed medications?

Yes, prescribed medications are allowed. The house may have additional guidance on controlled substances; this is discussed at the interview.

Is the house men-only, women-only, or co-ed?

Houses operating on this model are single-gender. Please contact us for current openings and which house applies to you.

Can family contact me?

Yes. Finding Your Bridge is a home, not a locked facility. Residents come and go freely, hold jobs, attend meetings, and stay in touch with family and friends.
