About
A peer-supported home for people serious about recovery.
Finding Your Bridge was founded on a simple belief: people in early recovery do better when they live alongside others who are doing the same work, in a home they help run themselves.
Who we serve
Finding Your Bridge is a sober living home for adults who have completed a treatment program for alcohol addiction — detox, inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, or intensive outpatient — and who want a structured, alcohol-free environment to continue their recovery.
Most of our residents have tried to get sober before. What changes here is the environment: a stable, low-stress home with others who understand what early recovery actually feels like, who can call out warning signs early, and who hold each other to the standards the house was founded on.
The model
Finding Your Bridge is modeled after the Oxford House framework — a self-supporting, democratically run, drug- and alcohol-free home. It is not a treatment facility, not a halfway house with paid staff, and not a recovery program. It is, simply, a home with three uncompromising rules.
- Pay your equal share of household expenses.
- No alcohol or non-prescribed drugs. Any use, anywhere, means leaving the house.
- Disruptive behavior is not tolerated. Residents govern the house together.
The model has been studied for decades and has a strong track record because it removes the artificial supports of a clinical setting and replaces them with real-world responsibility, shared with people who have a personal stake in the outcome.

A note on Oxford House
Finding Your Bridge is independently operated and draws on the publicly documented Oxford House model as a guide. To learn more about that model directly, visit vaoxfordhouse.org.
